We are currently seeking a motivated and design-savvy Senior  Sales Manager to join our expanding New York contract sales team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about design, energized by building relationships, and excited to contribute to Vitra’s growth in the dynamic New York market. As part of our sales team, you’ll work primarily in the contract sector, engaging with leading architecture & design firms, dealer partners, and direct clients. This is an outside sales role based out of our New York showroom, with a strong emphasis on relationship building and market engagement.

 

What you can expect

  • Be a Brand Ambassador

Represent Vitra with passion and purpose—educating and inspiring the A&D and dealer communities about our history, values, and products.

  • Build and Grow Relationships

Cultivate meaningful connections within the A&D community, key client accounts, and dealer network. Strengthen existing partnerships while expanding our reach across the industry.

  • Manage Key Accounts

Oversee several high-profile A&D accounts, including global-focus clients. Activities include:

      • Mapping firms and studios for targeted outreach
      • Engaging with senior stakeholders
      • Creating account plans and collaborating with international teams
  • Support Dealer Performance

Work closely with assigned dealer partners on training, goal-setting, and strategic planning to help them meet sales targets.

  • Activate the Community

Plan and participate in industry events, both in-person and online. Strengthen Vitra’s presence through networking, hosting events, and engaging with influencers.

  • Leverage the Showroom

Use our New York showroom as a hub for client engagement—host tours, breakfast/lunch meetings, and showcase Vitra’s design ethos to key audiences. Support major events as part of the broader team effort.

  • Stay Organized with CRM

Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in Salesforce to support reporting and forecasting.

  • Collaborate Globally

Coordinate with Vitra teams worldwide to align strategies and share insights on global accounts and projects.

  • Think Strategically

Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table to help differentiate Vitra and deliver added value to our clients and partners.

  • Salary Range: $140,000 – $180,000 USD/year, based on experience
