Our common goal
We are looking for a passionate, proactive and design minded Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager you will oversee the acquisition, logistics and installation of our furniture solutions in commercial & public spaces such as airports and offices. In this role you will collaborate closely with our sales, engineering and logistics teams in the US and our European Headquarters. The position is based in the New York City.
What you can expect
- Management of project process from start to finish
- Demonstrate a professional approach to time management and organization specifically in the management of client inquiries, service requests and de-escalations.
- Ensure projects are delivered timely and with exceptional quality and attention to detail
- Management of interfaces between our customers and the Vitra sales, logistics, operations, marketing and finance teams
- Manage RFI, RFP and tender processes and prepare quotations
- Support the creation of technical drawing and floor plans, reviewing specifications for accuracy
- Place orders through our ERP software SAP S/4Hana, and manage budgets and status updates
- Proactively engage in value engineering processes
- On-site supervision of project installations
- Salary range of $75,000 – 110,000 USD/year dependent on experience
How you can convince
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in related industry
- Experience in furniture, technical and electrical components and compliance
- Exceptional project and time management skills
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and mediation skills
- Digitally savvy and project management software knowledge
- Experience and familiarity in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
- Appreciation for Design and Quality
- Preferred but not required: Experience with the ERP software SAP S/4Hana and the CRM software Salesforce
- Preferred but not required: Experience with CAD design, Photoshop, and rendering software
- Preferred but not required: Design background and/or education
