The Position
Vitra’s primary objective for the Home Segment in the UK is to build on the strong relationships with our selected retailer partners and gain further market share in the residential furniture, accessories and lighting market, both physically and digitally. The Sales Manager Home for the UK will manage and maintain existing relationships within our national dealer network, finding ways to further grow our business in the home market. Furthermore, we are looking for a true brand ambassador to establish and nurture relationships within the residential interior design sector, as a development channel for the home segment. The role will also include a shared responsibility towards our sister brand Artek. 

In this role you would be responsible to achieve sales targets but also encouraged to contribute to the wider commercial approach and the development of the brands in collaboration with the Home Sales Team in UK. The Sales Manager Home will be responsible to execute the dealer strategy locally. Based from our brand new UK flagship showroom in Shoreditch, the role sits within the Home Sales Team of three and will report into our Head of Home UK.
 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with the retailer network 
  • Produce & execute a winning account plan for each retailer partner
  • Accurate monthly order entry forecasting 
  • Keeping CRM/Salesforce up to date (incl. accounts, contacts, and opportunities) and regularly log activities 
  • Arrange regular review meetings with key contacts and training sessions with sales staff in stores
  • Develop Vitra’s presentation and product presence in physical and ECOM stores 
  • Analyse and issue monthly sales reports for each account and review sell through reports from key accounts 
  • Execute campaigns and introduce seasonal newness with a touch of local creativity 
  • Maintain use of physical and digital tools and ensure an exemplary service in the UK market
  • Provide efficient and diverse coverage of our dealer landscape, with a focus on the UK regions (including Scotland & Ireland), as well as London based key accounts
  • Act as a brand ambassador to establish and nurture relationships within the residential interior design sector, as a development channel for the home segment
  • Assist with hosting of residential end customers in flagship showroom on an ad hoc basis

 

Your Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the retail furniture industry and design furniture industry
  • Preferably with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role  
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined and pushed by the willingness to build something
  • Experience and understanding of eCommerce platforms & digital proficiency
  • Passionate, solution-oriented driver with a hands-on attitude and a ‘can do’ approach 
  • Good sense of quality, aesthetics and design 
  • Highly motivated to cooperate closely with retailers – sales staff, buyers, merchandisers, owners
  • Good networker, good social memory and open minded, intercultural competence, good listener
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and confidence in presenting yourself and the Vitra & Artek brands & products
  • Ability to travel within the UK and Europe
