Head of Contract Sales Market Netherlands f/m/d

For our Sales Department in our office in Amsterdam we are looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented Head of Contract Sales who is able to lead and motivate a sales team and ensure effective sales activities yield the maximum revenue and share of wallet. The ideal candidate will be naturally confident, highly driven and have a focused, strategic and ambitious nature. You will have a track record of developing and winning new business and growing existing customers. It is highly beneficial to have a strong understanding of the Dutch market with strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills. In addition to local responsibilities, this role will also contribute to global business development activities, expanding Vitra’s international commercial footprint.
What you can expect
- Leadership: Lead the Contract sales department by developing sales targets, identifying growth opportunities and coaching and motivating the team.
- Brand Ambassador: Act as a Vitra brand ambassador to present Vitra’s brand, products, concepts and culture professionally in front of direct and indirect clients in the Dutch Market.
- Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and clients.
- Relationship Management: Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with dealers, national and international keyaccounts, real estate professionals and architects.
- Sales Expertise: Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals. Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development by tracking, forecasting and reporting on activities and prospects through the CRM system Salesforce
- Industry Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends locally and internationally.
- Networking: Attend and network at industry events to expand your professional connections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales support to drive lead generation and sales initiatives.
How you convince us:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5-10 years of sales experience in a similar industry including management
- Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Strong leadership and team building skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Very good communication skills, good knowledge of English and Dutch is mandatory.
